MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


The Namibian Standards Institution (NSI), established in terms of the Standards Act, 2005 (Act No. 18 of 2005), plays a strategic role in advancing quality, standards, and conformity assessment in Namibia. Through the implementation of the National Quality Policy, NSI remains committed to protecting consumers, supporting industry competitiveness, and facilitating trade through internationally aligned standards and quality assurance services.

Our work contributes significantly to product safety, regulatory compliance, export readiness, and sustainable economic growth. In fulfilling our mandate, NSI provides services including standards development, training, testing, inspection, metrology, and certification across key sectors of the economy.

As we continue strengthening Namibia’s national quality infrastructure, we remain focused on operational excellence, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and building institutional capacity to effectively serve government, industry, and consumers.
