ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity.

DEVCO

DEVCO leads ISO’s work on developing countries. DEVCO supports developing countries in standardization matters by identifying needs and recommends actions to help meet them, for example through technical assistance and training. Technical assistance and training focuses on many subjects including the role of standards in economic development, standards development, conformity assessment and ICT support.

CASCO

CASCO is the ISO committee that works on issues relating to conformity assessment. CASCO develops policy and publishes standards related to conformity assessment, it does not perform conformity assessment activities. Membership to CASCO is open to full and correspondent members.

COPOLCO

COPOLCO is ISO’s forum for promoting consumer interests in standardization. It aims to:

  • Enhance the market relevance of International Standards by promoting and facilitating the input of consumers’ views into ISO’s policies, procedures, standards and services
  • Help consumers around the world benefit from standardization.

WTO

The World Trade Organization is the global international organization that deals with the rules of trade between countries, an organization that defends trade interests. The WTO provides a forum for governments across the world to negotiate trade agreements aimed at reducing obstacles to international trade and ensuring a fair trading for all. The WTO is a place for governments to settle trade disputes – under a system of trade rules. Principally, the World Trade Organization is where member nations’ governments try to resolve trade problems that they might have with each other.
